I am a Consultant Surgeon at Bristol Urological Institute, Southmead Hospital Bristol and Director of the Stone Unit- European Board of Urology Training Centre for Stone Diseases. I lead one of the largest centres treating kidney stones in the United Kingdom.
I am an experienced Urologist with expertise in diagnostic urology advising patients with raised PSA (prostate blood test); blood in the urine, urinary infections; Urinary flow/ Prostate Problems and urinary bladder dysfunction (including frequency, urgency, incontinence). I undertake circumcision, epididymal cyst excision, hydrocele repair and operations to evaluate and treat bladder abnormalities including bladder growth and prostate enlargement.
My specialist expertise is in the minimal treatment for kidney stones; ureteroscopy and percutaneous nephrolithotomy with one of the largest practices in Southwest England.
I was awarded MD by the University of Liverpool for research into Urinary bladder cancer and prostate cancer. Now, I focus my research enthusiasm in trying to reduce the risk of recurrent stone disease.
I am a vociferous football supporter; still debating between Liverpool and Manchester United, having spent over ten years in the Northwest. I enjoy the occasional game of tennis and spending time with my family.
