Mr Tim WhittlestoneConsultant Urologist

I am a Consultant Urologist with a wide variety of interests – from testicular cancer to female incontinence. I qualified in 1994 having trained at both Oxford and Cambridge. I developed my love of urology in Bristol and at The Mayo Clinic in the USA. I am a general Urologist who has a special interest in infection, cystitis, testicular cancer and kidney cancer.

I’ve been a Hunterian Professor at the Royal College of Surgeons and have taught many generations of young urologists. I am currently Clinical Director at Southmead Hospital and an honorary Lecturer at Bristol University. I am married with three young girls and enjoy cycling to work, as well as painting when I’m in Cornwall. In an age of information overload on the Internet, I believe that patients have a right to understand the nature of their disease through face-to-face consultation with their doctor.
